18 hours
9/28: All of the business I did at the soccer game amounted to 2.5 hours. I came early to the men's game to help set up. During that time, the plan was to film Luke Jenner so we could get more footage for that player profile. Then I helped film the actual game afterwards. Setting up cameras is getting easier and things are getting a little more fluid.

15.5 hours
9/26: For 1.5 hours I further helped Dakota put together her package with Luke Jenner today. I came up with interview questions, helped set up the camera and lighting equipment, and interviewed him myself while Dakota filmed him.
It was really cool, it was the first time I've gotten to do something like this. The interview was smooth, he had good answers. I'm getting good with questions from my news reporting class, as well.

14 hours
9/22: I helped the sports show for 1.5 hours today. I observed different aspects of the show from a sophmore's perspective, which was interesting. I was a little more familiar with hooking up wires and things of that nature. I also helped tour around the new practicuum students a little bit.
9/24: I Filmed 1.5 hours on the men's soccer game. I got to film in a whole new way, however. Instead of the game, I was following around a specific player the whole time, because I'm helping Dakota put together a package. It was even a little easier than filming the whole game. This put me up to 14 hours.
*note
Instead of publishing my last post, i saved it as a draft by accident...that's why it did not send until now.

11 hours
9/9: I helped film both the boys and girls soccer game, for a total of 4.5 hours, putting my total to 8. I had to share a lot of the guys game, but i filmed over half of the girls game. I am doing my best to get more familiar with a camera. Little things, like changing tape and working with XLR's are feeling a little more comfortable.
9/10: I helped Charlotte with her project today. She had us help her shoot some footage for her package, and then she showed us some tricks on Final Cut. It was helpful, I learned a couple things regarding raising audio and uploading the actual video clips. She even did Voice Overs in front of us. I did this for 1 hour, putting my total to 9.
9/11: Before I started watching the New York Giants get embarrassed, I filmed the mens soccer game at 12. It was only Justin Rich, John and I. It was the first time ive filmed at noon, the sun made things a little more challenging. I did this for 2 hours, putting my total to 11.

3.5 hours
7/31: I was at the sports meeting for 0.5 hours. We just discussed what was expected of this year and how things will be run.
8/6: I got 2 hours helping film the boys soccer game. I got to use some new procedures that i learned in broadcasting class, like letting the player run into your camera shot. I am still steadily improving. *****I dont usually do this, but John gave me an additional hour because i saved the camera from a line drive soccer kick. It was even caught on camera, and it was epic. 3.5 hours
